Laevatain is an SS-Tier Heat DPS best used in teams with plenty of Heat Infliction. She can absorb these Heat Inflicions to enhance her Battle Skill that charges her Ultimate, where she deals significantly higher damage, especially in AoE situations.
While Laevatain is restricted to teammates that can inflict Heat Inflicition, Combustion, or Corrosion, her best team is accessible and free.

As Laevatain, you'll want to get 4 Melting Flame stacks by absorbing Heat Infliction with Final Strike before casting Battle Skill to deal higher damage and charge her Ultimate.
You get the most damage by using her talents in this order:

Performing a Final Strike on enemies with Heat Infliction absorbs it and grants Laevatain a Melting Flame stack.
Note that Laevatain can only apply Heat Infliction in her Ultimate. Heat Infliction will mostly come from Laevatain's allies, like Wulfgard, to generate these stacks, as well as her Combo Skill.
At 4 Melting Flame stacks, Laevatain's Battle Skill is enhanced, performing an additional hit and granting an extra 100 Ultimate Gain.
The additional hit is the highest single instance of damage in Laevatain's kit, and is the primary way to charge her Ultimate.
Laevatain's Ultimate forces her to be the controlled operator, significantly increasing the damage and range of her basic attacks. This is Laevatain's main source of DPS, and what allows her to excel as a hypercarry.
During Ultimate, Laevatain can apply Heat Infliction on the third basic attack hit, which she consumes soon after, as the next attack is a Final Strike, adding a stack of Melting Flame.
Laevatain can perform her enhanced Battle Skill in Ultimate as well, dealing significantly higher damage.
| Priority | Skill | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Ultimate | Prioritize leveling this, as it is Laevatain's biggest source of damage with its high multipliers and wide AoE. |
| 2 | Battle Skill | Features the highest multiplier in Laevatain's kit, and the primary source to gain Ultimate charge. Invest in this after leveling Ultimate. |
| 3 | Combo Skill | Mostly used for Melting Flame stacks and additional Ultimate charge. Can be leveled along with Battle Skill. |
| 4 | Basic Attack | Primarily used for Laevatain's Scorching Heart talent. Level this last. |
| Priority | Talent | Explanation |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Scorching Heart | Prioritize this Talent first to increase Laevatain's Heat Resistance ignored. |
| - | Re-Ignition | Primarily for survival, loses in value with sustains in the team. Can be leveled after all other skills and Talents are upgraded. |

Best Gifts & How to Give Them
Laevatain serves directly under the Endministrator as per the agreement between Rhodes Island and Endfield Industries.
Laevatain had a history of roaming the world alone, which had molded her skills in solo combat, leading her peers to perceive Laevatain as someone taciturn or aloof. This is untrue as Laevatain is sociable in reality with an earnest nature to boot.
While Laevatain's theme and design often depict fire and forge, her profile reveals that she has a strong penchant for ice cream.

Surtr as seen in Arknights
Laevatain is the reconvener of Surtr, an Operator in Rhodes Island. While she inherited Surtr's memories, they are not the same person.
This is further expanded in her story quest, Let Fire Consume the Ashen Past, where she explores her identity as a reconvener.
