How to Play Tangtang

As a Controlled Operator

Tangtang is a Cryo Caster that deals AoE damage to enemy mobs while offering support by applying Arts Susceptibility. She can create Whirlpools and Waterspouts using her skills that can apply Cryo Infliction and deal Cryo damage, as well as use her Ultimate to pause all enemy actions in a wide AoE.

You get the most damage by using her talents in this order:

Create Whirlpools With Combo Skill

For single-target content, it is imperative to trigger Tangtang's Combo Skill first to generate a Whirlpool for her Battle Skill. This Combo Skill is triggered by applying Cryo Infliction or dealing Arts Burst DMG.

Otherwise, Tangtang's Battle Skill can only generate 1 Waterspout via Battle Skill if there are no Whirlpools nearby, disabling her Arts Susceptibility application.

Apply Arts Susceptibility With Waterspouts

When a Whirlpool is available, cast Tangtang's Battle Skill to transform it into a Waterspout and apply Arts Susceptibility. Note that a Waterspout will only apply this debuff if more than 1 Waterspout is created by the skill.

For multi-target content, players can immediately use Tangtang's Battle Skill if they can hit more than 1 enemy on cast. Hitting multiple enemies generates a Waterspout per enemy hit, applying her debuff.

Use Ultimate to Pause Enemies and Deal AoE Damage

Tangtang's Ultimate can deal damage in a wide area and pause all enemy actions within its range for a duration. Once the duration ends, Tangtang's Ultimate deals another hit of damage to enemies in range.

Tangtang's Talent, Riot Bringer, can end her Ultimate's effects early by performing a Dive Attack, immediately dealing damage while generating a Waterspout. Nearby Whirlpools are also converted into Waterspouts, applying Arts Susceptibility and dealing higher damage.

Her Ultimate is best used to forcibly create a DPS window for the team. This is especially useful for hypercarries with a long cast time or animation, such as Yvonne and Last Rite.
