Get Flawless Essences From Severe Energy Alluviums

Arknights Endfield - Farm Flawless Essence in Severe Energy Alluviums

Upgrading Essences via Etching is only available for Flawless Essences. They can only be farmed in Severe Energy Alluviums, available after reaching Exploration Level 4 by completing Beyond the World's Expanse I.

Upgrade the Essence Best Suited For Your Weapon

Choose Which Essence to Etch

Afterwards, choose the Flawless Essence, which will be used to Etch on their current passives.

It is highly suggested you Etch the most optimal, 3-line Flawless Essences you have that are perfect for your Operator's weapons. Their passives must match the ones your weapons have on all three slots, shown on the left side of the Weapon menu.

Choose a Stat to Upgrade

Choose Which Stat to Etch and Improve

Once you've chosen an Essence to upgrade, choose which one of the 3 stats you want to Etch.

Select Etch to Upgrade the Stat

Etching Success Rate

2 → 3 High High Very Low
3 → 4 Low Low N/A
4 → 5 Very Low Very Low N/A
5 → 6 Very Low Very Low N/A

After choosing a stat to upgrade, you can now feed it a Flawless Essence or Coolant Gels to increase its level. Note that upgrading it by using another Flawless Essence is not guaranteed, with the chances of success affected by the stat's type and level.

Failing an Etching attempt loses the Flawless Essence used as material. This does not have any detrimental effect to the Essence being upgraded.

Use Coolant Gels to Guarantee a Success

Level Requirement
1 → 2 30 Coolant Gels
2 → 3 60 Coolant Gels
3 → 4 120 Coolant Gels
4 → 5 250 Coolant Gels
5 → 6 450 Coolant Gels

Failing an Etching attempt also grants 10 Coolant Gels. These can be used to guaranteee the success of an Etching attempt.
