Arknights Endfield - Explosive Rescue

Explosive Rescue is an Exploration Mission in Arknights: Endfield 1.0. Learn how to enter the Kohl Plant and the Ventilation Shaft, how to craft 25 bombs to destroy all obstacles, a full walkthrough, and all its rewards in this guide!

How to Unlock Explosive Rescue

Speak to Ingol in Originium Science Park

You can start the Explosive Rescue mission by speaking to Ingol in the southern part of the Originium Science Park in Valley IV.

She's standing in front of the Kohl Plant gate southwest of the Research Center.

Explosive Rescue Walkthrough

  1. Enter the Kohl Plant
  2. Ask Ingol About the Status of the Plant
  3. Find A Way to Enter the Ventilation Shaft
  4. Clean the Top Section of the Ventilation Shaft
  5. Clean the Middle Section of the Ventilation Shaft
  6. Clean the Base Section of the Ventilation Shaft
  7. Return to the Control Room and Talk to Ingol

Enter the Kohl Plant

You'll need to equip and use bombs to enter the Kohl Plant and progress the quest. Unlike other quests where you're supplied automatically with bombs, you'll need to craft bombs and equip them from your tool belt.

We recommend crafting at least 25 bombs to clear all the obstacles you'll encounter throughout the quest.

How to Make Industrial Explosives (Bombs)

How to Enter the Kohl Plant

Entering the Kohl Plant Guide
1
Equip a bomb from your tool wheel and throw it at the cracked side wall to enter the interior.
2
Follow the path inside and hit the reactive device to disable the laser grid so you can enter the room.
3
Hop up the crates so you can reach the top of the shelf and position yourself so you can see the door on the other side of the hole in the wall.

Carefully aim at the boxes blocking the door then throw a bomb to destroy them.
4
Enter the now accessible room and throw a bomb at the reactive device on the other side of the laser grid to disable it.
5
Hop on top of the boxes in the room and position yourself so you can throw a bomb through the hole in the wall. This will destroy the boxes blocking the door you passed by earlier.

Note: You may need to throw at least two bombs through the hole in the wall to destroy all three boxes blocking the door.
6
Go through the now open door and follow the path forward. You'll need to destroy the boxes blocking the hallway to get through.
7
There's another door blocked by a crate in this area. Step on the edge of the platform so you can see the hole in the wall and throw a bomb through it to destroy the box on the other side.

Flip the switch and go through the now open door and into the next area,
8
Follow the path forward until you reach a large open area with a very large door. Interact with the nearby switch to repair it and start a repair logic puzzle.
9
Arrange the repair logic pieces like the image above to solve the repair logic puzzle. A short cutscene will then play where you finally unlock the Kohl Plant which allows Ingol to get inside.

Ask Ingol About the Status of the Plant

Speak with Ingol for a cutscene where she discusses how gel is clogging the ventilation shafts and asks you to help repair the reactor controle module.

Find A Way to Enter the Ventilation Shaft

The main door leading to the ventilation shaft is locked so you'll need to find another way through.

How to Enter the Ventilation Shaft

Access the Ventilation Shaft Guide
1
Head south from the locked door and throw a bomb at the cracked wall so you can head outside.
2
Use the jump pad on the top of the hill to access the ventilation shaft.

Clean the Top Section of the Ventilation Shaft

You need at least 6 bombs to destroy the gel clogging the ventilation shaft in this section, including the obstacles blocking the path you're standing on.

Carefully throw your bombs at the center of the solidifed gel to completely destroy the structure. Once all gel structures are cleared, the nearby laser grid will turn off and you can use the rope to head down the middle section.

Clean the Middle Section of the Ventilation Shaft

Head down the middle section and destroy the gel structures. You need at least three bombs to clear the two gel structures here completely.

Clean the Base Section of the Ventilation Shaft

Head north and cross the bridge to the other side of the middle section and stand on the yellow boxes so you can aim down to the base section.

You only need to throw one bomb to destroy and completely clear the gel structures at the base section of the ventilation shaft.

Read Jeremy's Handyterm on Top of the Box

Jeremy's Handyterm is sitting on top of the yellow box where you need to stand to throw the bomb down the base section. You can optionally read it so you can inform Ingol later what happened to him.

Return to the Control Room and Talk to Ingol

With the ventilation shaft unclogged, head through the hallway north to return to the control room and speak to Ingol.

If you read Jeremy's Handyterm earlier, you can optionally tell Ingol how he tried manually shutting down the reactor. She'll be horrified but will resolve fix the situation at the plant, which also ends the quest.
