The defeaning blast brought embers of war from a century ago. Nevertheless, the Civilization Band was not destroyed by the Aggeloid bombardment.

Bolts and Shadows Stage 1 Mechanics

Normal Enemies are stronger.
Agony Enemies recover from Staggered more quickly, are harder to interrupt, and have greatly increased ATK range. Heavy Sting α gains temporary immunity against all DMG regularly; defeat all Sting α to remove this immunity buff. Tacticals and consumables cannot be used.

Agony Mode adds an effect on top of the Normal Mode mechanics.

A Physical team with the Endministrator as the main damage dealer is great for this stage for its high Stagger. With Chen Qianyu, they can do chains of Battle and Combo Skills fast.

Lifeng is a great support for this team to apply Physical Susceptibility and Stagger. Lastly, Pogranichnik is the best operator for this team to help with SP Recovery.

Akekuri and Wulfgard will be helping her gain stacks. Ardelia is the team's sustain if you need healing after taking damage from the Heavy Sting's strengthened attacks, while being able to apply Susceptibility.

Avywenna is also good for this stage with her ability to pierce through enemies and deal a huge burst of damage with her Battle Skill. Pair her with Perlica to apply Electric infliction needed for Avywenna's Combo Skill.

Arclight will be helpful for additional damage, as well as SP Recovery with her skills. Finally, Gilberta can apply buffs and debuffs to enemies while having the ability to group them.

Last Rite is great against single target enemies and can deal a huge burst of damage with her Ultimate. She needs to apply Cryo infliction stacks with her Battle Skill active to be able to use her Combo Skill. Her attacks have a wider range, which will help in killing the 3 Stings.

Xaihi will be supporting by applying debuffs and Cryo infliction after 2 Final Strikes with her Battle Skill active. Fluorite can also add an additional Cryo infliction stack with her Combo Skill. Lastly, Ardelia will be applying debuffs while healing the team.

Da Pan is a great substitute for a damage dealer in Physical teams due to having more Crush procs during the fight.

How to Beat Bolts and Shadows Stage 1

  1. Dodge the Heavy Sting's Attacks
  2. Cast Skills After Heavy Sting's Attacks
  3. Quickly Defeat Sting α Spawns
  4. Staggering is Still Fairly Easy

Dodge the Heavy Sting's Attacks

The stage mechanic increases the Heavy Sting's ATK and attack range. It is recommended to dodge or run away from its attacks to avoid taking huge bursts of damage and dying quickly.

Avoid Getting Hit and Interrupted Mid-Attack

Heavy Sting's attacks are frequent and can interrupt your operator even during a skill. With that, try to attack and cast skills after the Heavy Sting's attack to avoid getting interrupted, missing your attack, and taking damage.

Defeat Sting α Quick to Remove the Immunity Buff

Heavy Sting will become immune to all DMG after a while. Once it becomes immune, a group of 3 Sting α will spawn across from it. Defeat all 3 Stings to remove the Heavy Sting's immunity. Operators who can deal AoE damage are great for this to defeat them quickly.

Staggering is Still Fairly Easy

The stage mechanic also makes the Heavy Sting harder to interrupt and recover from Staggered faster. However, it is still quite easy to apply stagger by doing Final Strikes, Battle or Combo Skills, Ultimates, or reactions. Operators who can apply more Stagger are great for this stage.
