How to Unlock Pillars of Destiny

Speak to Lin Ke at the Ecological Research Station

Speak to Lin Ke at the Ecological Research Station

You can start Pillars of Destiny by speaking to Lin Ke at the Ecological Research Station in Jingyu Valley in Wuling.

  1. Investigate Tianshi Pillar
  2. Activate the Auxilliary Pillars in Order
  3. Return to Tianshi Pillar and Talk to Lin Ke

Investigate Tianshi Pillar

Interact with the Tianshi Pillar's open panel for a short cutscene and a tutorial on how to do the puzzle.

Activate the Auxilliary Pillars in Order

Activate the Auxilliary Pillars in Order

You'll need to activate the corresponding auxiliary pillars from bottom to top based on the trigrams shown.

How to Activate the Auxilliary Pillars in Order

How to Solve the Tianshi Pillar Puzzle
1
First Auxillary Pillar
Destroy the wooden creates near the house so you can activate the auxillary pillar within.
2
Second Auxillary Pillar
Head slightly southwest from the house and activate the auxillary pillar near the trees.

Third Auxillary Pillar
Hop on the nearby roof and activate the third auxillary pillar.
4
Fourth Auxillary Pillar
Head to the eastern side of the house and activate the fourth auxillary pillar near the tall stone fence.

Fifth Auxillary Pillar
Head south and hop up the roof of the building so you can activate the fifth auxillary pillar.

Sixth Auxillary Pillar
The sixth auxillary pillar is submerged underwater in a small pool north of the farming plot near the house.

Interact with the switch to drain the pool of water.

Drain the Pool
Interact with the second switch so that the collected water drains to the river. This will completely drain the first pool where the sixth auxillary pillar is and allow you to activate it.

Return to Tianshi Pillar and Talk to Lin Ke

Return to Tianshi Pillar and Talk to Lin Ke

Head back to Tianshi Pillar and speak to Lin Ke who will ask you to activate the Tianshi Pillar so he can collect the data.

Interact with the open panel on Tianshi Pillar to activate it and for a short cutscene, then speak to Lin Ke again to complete the quest.
