List of Contents

Imminent Incursion is a tower defense game mode in Arknights: Endfield, tasking you with defending Command Cores from waves of enemies using AIC Combat facilities. Imminent Incursion has two modes: Operator Intervention and Auto-Defense.
Operator Intervention allows you to fight alongside your turrets, while Auto-Defense makes you unable to fight, relying solely on your turrets to defend the Command Cores.

Imminent Incursions take place in your outposts, unlocking as you progress through the story and upgrade the outposts.

Completing an Imminent Incursion increases an Outpost's Stock Bill Bonus Earning Chance. That means that whenever an Outpost generates stock bills, they have a chance to get extra stock bills.
Clearing a level on Operator Intervention will provide a temporary buff to the Outpost's Stock Bill Bonus Earning Chance. Clearing the same level on Auto-Defense will permanently increase that Outpost's Stock Bill Bonus Earning Chance.

To unlock the Imminent Incursion feature, you must finish the Defense Construction side quest. The quest will have you participating in your first Imminent Incursion in the Refugee Camp Outpost. Once you finish the quest, Imminent Incursions can start appearing in your other outposts after they reach a certain level.

To start an Imminent Incursion, go to an Outpost with the Imminent Incursion icon. If the icon is red, that means there are unfinished levels that you can do.

Once you teleport to the Outpost, walk to the Early Warning Terminal to access the Imminent Incursion interface.

Once you have accessed the Imminent Incursion interface, you must then select a Risk level and game mode. Different Risk levels will have different enemies and levels, with the higher Risk levels being more difficult. Different Risk levels will sometimes also have different enemy paths, so take note of this when selecting a level.
Once you have selected a Risk Level, you must then select either Operator Intervention or Auto-Defense. Take note that Auto-Defense is only available after you have completed a Risk Level in Operator Intervention mode.

Once you have entered the battlefield, you must place down defensive structures inside the Outpost area. Make sure that the enemy's path is within the defensive structure's range, and that said structures are powered by Pylons or Relays.
Take note that you can only place a certain number of turrets, so make each one count.

Once you are satisfied with your defenses, you may then start the battle. Enemies will start spawning once you do so, and you can then either participate in the battle, or watch your turrets based on which game mode you picked.

If there are intersections in the enemy's path, try to place AoE Turrets near it, as this will maximize the number of enemies that each attack will hit. Try also to place AoE turrets between two paths, as you can potentially hit enemies on both sides.

When building your defense, try to spread them out instead of clumping them all in one spot. This ensures that enemies will take damage throughout the path, instead of only at one section, and potentially making it through with a sliver of health.

Try to use a variety of towers, as each tower has different ranges, damage, damage type, and fire rate. Combining fast-firing turrets like the Heavy Gun Tower with slower but stronger turrets like the Beam Tower will help you cover your bases.

Some turrets, like the Omnidirectional Sonic Tower and the LN Tower can stun enemies or slow them down. Take advantage of this to slow down the enemy's progress, allowing you to deal even more damage to them.

It is okay to let some enemies through if your goal is to simply clear a stage. As long as you defeat all enemies with the Command Cores still standing, it will be counted as a win.
While the Imminent Incursions seem urgent, you do not need to immediately do them, as they are single clear levels instead of recurring events. As such, you can delay clearing them until you are a higher level, or after you have unlocked stronger defensive facilities.
