Players can farm plants in Arknights: Endfield by crafting and growing the appropriate plot, and can unlock planting by completing the Farming Toils quest. See how to farm plants and how to unlock planting in this guide!

How to Farm Plants
Craft a Plant Plot
To start cultivating Plants, players need to craft the plot for the appropriate plant they are trying to grow. This is done by opening the Backpack and clicking on Crafting, then selecting the Planting tab in the Crafting Menu.
Unlock Plant Plots by Collecting Plants
Players can unlock Plant Plot recipes automatically whenever they first collect a plant in the overworld.

Place Plot in Farming Area
Once you have the desired Plant Plot in your inventory, head to the Eco-Farm in the Originium Science Park by the NPC Vera, and place the plot down in the soil.
Germinate and Water the Plots
Once the plot is down, you will have to germinate the seeds and water the plants to have them grow. Each plant has its own unique growth time and needs, so be sure to check the details of each beforehand.
Sprinkler Facility Available in Wuling Farm
The Farm in Wuling allows players to make use of a Sprinkler facility, eliminating the need to manually water plots of plants.
Unfortunately, this facility is exclusive to Wuling; it is currently unavailable for use in Valley IV.
Wait Out the Timer and Farm
Once the plot has been germinated and watered, all the player has to do is to wait out the timer. The length of the timer will be different depending on the plant that was put in there.
When the timer finishes, players can come by to the Farm at their leisure to farm and collect the plant!
Unlock Planting Tech in AIC Tree for Farming Facilities
When you make it to AIC Level 2, you want to unlock the Planting upgrade. This unlocks both the Seed-Picking Units and Planting Units; both facilities which will automate your farming experience!
How to Unlock Planting

Farming Toils Quest in Valley IV
The Plant Farming function and the Eco-Farm in Originium Science Park are both unlocked during the events of the Farming Toils Exploration Quest, acquired by speaking to the NPC Vera.
A Breeze Away Main Quest in Wuling
The Agricultural Test Site in Wuling City becomes automatically unlocked for farming purposes as soon as the Endministrator plants the Core AIC in Wuling City during the Main Mission A Breeze Away.
Benefits of Plant Farming
Progresses Crafting Manual
Each plant you harvest from farming will award you points in the Crafting Manual. Collecting enough points will award you with various items, such as formulas, upgrades to materials and even Oroberyl.
No Need to Roam to Collect Plants
While the plants can be found in the overworld, their specific locations do not show up in the map. Players have to roam around sections of sub-regions to look for the plants.
With the Eco-Farm, they can just simply plant and grow what is needed.
