Open the Artifice Tab in Gear Assembly

Artificing Gear Tab

Upgrading your Gear, otherwise known as artificing, can be accessed via the Gear Assembly interface. You will have to select the Artificing Tab from the top of the screen.

Select Your Armor and Stat to Artifice

Once in the Artificing interface, you can select a Gear piece to upgrade. Doing so will open a menu showing its three stats, which you can upgrade individually. Pick one of the three stats to begin artificing.

Each Stat has an Artificing Limit

Each of a Gear piece's stats can only be raised a specific amount of times via artificing, indicated by the amount of greyed-out slashes beside each upgradeable stat.

Uses Same-Rarity and Slot Gear and a Catalyst

Artificing Costs

Then, you will need to consume a gear piece of the same rarity and equipping-part. For example, artificing a piece of Gloves will use another Gloves gear of your choice. The gear to be consumed must also have the same or higher base of the stat you are artificing.

You will also need to use a Catalyst, an item purchased from the Stock Redistribution System of various regions, as additional material for each artificing.

Artificing Can Fail

Gear Artificing Progress

The process of Artificing is a chance-based process, and can fail instead of succeeding. With each failure, you will build up the Artificing Progress bar, which will increase success odds until it is guaranteed at full.

Gear Artificing Quest Location

To unlock Gear Artificing, players will need to reach Wuling and start the Gear Artificing quest. The function will unlock during the events of said quest.
