That could be a valid choice, but I think 20 damage is good when you wanna put really tanky EX's into kill range from full health + great cape.
Why not put the new space-time showdown Regirock instead of druddigon? I feel like Regirock's additional tanking would allow for higher build-up on the Greninjas and give you enough time to slot in energy for Gyarados.
Skill issue.
IDK what the other comments are on about. Tried this deck out and got to 5 wins right away. I don't think its reliant at luck at all since getting the 4 turns you need to put 4 energy on magikarp/gyarados can be done pretty easily with everything else in the deck taking the hits for you. Getting heads on Misty just boosts that but its not like getting tails makes the deck lose. I like how Gyarados EX reliably OHKOs most things bar... Mewtwo? Which if you chipped with Greninja, you still win.
Played 5 rounds. Loss Ratio 100%. Too RNG reliant. Do NOT Recommend.
This deck feels like it was placed in this tier based exclusively on theory. It does not work consistently in practice because of how much it relies in decent rng to get anything past midgame with any chance to win. I love the concept and was excited to try the deck but it simply doesn’t work to the standard it needs to beat other current metas
You know you can deactivate the fire energy when editing your deck
I keep getting fire energy, making this deck mostly useless
I tested it in several matches, and it ends up that I end up with a lot of stage 1 and stage 2 Pokémon in my hand, and the basic ones (which are not tanks) are difficult to come to hand
