Tips to Defeat Snowy Blowhog

Bring Ice Pikmin

Pikmin 4 - Ice Pikmin
We recommend Ice Pikmin for your fight against the Snowy Blowhogs since they are Ice Resistant and can withstand this creature's icy attacks.

Call Back Other Pikmin If Blown Away

If any of your Pikmin are blown away, whistle and call back your other Pikmin to return to you, especially if they are not Ice Pikmin. After blowing away any Pikmin, the enemy will immediately attempt to breathe ice so it's best have your Pikmin return immediately.

Throw One Then Throw All

Since the Snowy Blowhog stops moving for a while after its blow attack, it is best to send one Ice Pikmin first and have it blown away. Afterwards, send a large group of Pikmin to deal damage to the creature.

If you have the Charging Horn, press X twice to lead all your Pikmin to attack at once!

DalmoDalmo's Log What's that? You think the different types of Blowhog all look the same? You need to look a bit closer. For example, this little fellow has light-yellow eyes and an aquamarine body with turquoise lips and blue nails. It all comes together to create a unique appearance designed to give anyone the chills!
OlimarOlimar's Log This species has the ability to condense atmospheric carbon dioxide within an organ called a cold sac. The cold sac creates dry ice, and its vapors are then expelled as icy breath.
A close relative to this species, the Fiery Blowhog can keep its internal body temperature from rising because the phosphoric compounds it expels only ignite when they make contact with the air.
In contrast, the Snowy Blowhog maintains internal body conditions below freezing, and its other internal organs are protected by thick layers of fat and the extracellular freezing that occurs within its cold sac.
LouieLouie's Log Sprinkle lightly with salt, and eat while the ice bag is still fresh and crunchy. Just one bite will give you the most satisfying brain freeze.
