Cure Oatchi Mission Olimar's Shipwreck Tale Trial of the Sage Leaf

Cure Oatchi Mission

Rescuing Olimar rolls the credits, but your exploration is far from over, as Oatchi needs to be cured of his leaf tail to go home. For the post-game mission, you'll need to find Nelle, a veterinarian castaway who should be able to fix this.

As part of the Rescue Corps, you should also rescue the other missing castaways and Leaflings on the planet while you're at it.

Two Additional Areas

Continuing with the post game unlocks two more areas for exploration—the Giant's Hearth and the Primordial Thicket. Here, you'll encounter more castaways and treasures and, hopefully, a way to cure Oatchi.

The Giant's Hearth is unlocked once you get 11,000 sparklium while the Primordial Thicket is unlocked after getting 13,000 sparklium and rescuing Yorke and Don Bergman.

Olimar's Shipwreck Tale

After saving Olimar, you can speak with him to recount his experience on the planet. His story will be told by having you play as Olimar as he tries to repair the S.S. Dolphin before his life support ends. This post game mode will have you collect 30 ship parts in 15 days across different areas.

Trial of the Sage Leaf

Completing Olimar's Shipwreck Tale unlocks the Trial of the Sage Leaf in the Rescue Command Post. The trial is a series of 10 Dandori Challenges that test your efficiency and skill. For your efforts, you'll be rewarded the White Onion and Purple Onion after completing five and ten challenges, respectively.

Collect All Treasures

Finding all the treasures in an area is needed to get 100% completion. Some treasures can be tricky to collect as they can be buried underground or need specific requirements like 100 Purple Pikmin.

Avoid missing treasures by using Oatchi to sniff them out or by using the Treasure Gauge.

Rescue All Castaways and Leaflings

One of your main missions is to rescue all the castaways hiding in caves all over the planet. This includes those transformed into leaflings, which you can cure with Glow Sap. There are 50 of them in total, so try to save them all!

Fuse All Onions and Flarlic

The last requirement for getting 100% completion is collecting all the onions and flarlic. You should aim to get them all as they are useful for making more types of Pikmin and expanding your max Pikmin limit. There's an onion for every Pikmin type and 12 flarlic in total, so don't miss out on them!

Buying out all the gear from Russ in the Lab will let you purchase a top secret gear—the Plucking Whistle. Gather as much raw material as possible so you can work your Dandori to its fullest!

Train All of Oatchi's Skills

Training Oatchi will make him more useful as you keep exploring the planet. Once he's learned all other skills, Shepherd can teach the legendary skill, Infinite Rush. Keep rescuing castaways and curing leaflings to raise his pup drive!

Dandori Challenges and Dandori Battles are some of the toughest trials that will test your Dandori. Prove you're a master of efficiency by scoring Platinum on all of them!

While exploring all the areas and caves, you should be able to encounter all kinds of creatures on the planet. There are 125 unique species, so fill up that Piklopedia for Dalmo!

Clear All Side Missions

Our suggestions above should clear out most of the side missions already. However, don't neglect the more unique missions like getting more Pikmin or blooming their flowers. While most reward raw materials, some give special rewards like the Lineup Trumpet, which lets your Pikmin swarm!
