The Rock Onion can be found in Giant's Hearth, an area available after rescuing Olimar.

| 1 | Rescue Olimar and reach the ending. |

 Starting from the base near the brick building, head to the south of the map and turn right around the corner. |

 You'll face a giant wall once you've moved forward a bit. Use Bomb Rocks to destroy the middle part of the wall. ➤ How to Get Bomb Rocks |

 Enter the area and move forward towards the green object in the middle to trigger a fight with a giant enemy. Defeat it so you won't have any problems later on. |
| 5 |
 After defeating the giant enemy, move forward and you'll see a buried black onion. Throw 30 Pikmin to dig it up and carry it back to the S.S. Beagle. |
Having the Rock Onion as part of the onion ship in your base lets you produce Rock Pikmin. You can produce them by retrieving pellets or enemies.
