Tips to Defeat Mamuta |
---|
|
This docile beast will just watch you and your Pikmin pass by; Mamuta will not harm you and your Pikmin when you encounter it. It's just enjoying the view!
Throwing Pikmin on Mamuta will cause it to shake them off and pound the ground where the Pikmin will land.
However, this does not eliminate your Pikmin. Instead, this will plant them in the ground, requiring you and Oatchi to pluck them off. You can do this with the Plucking Whistle or press the A button when near the planted Pikmin.
Oatchi can also pluck the Pikmin with you to speed up the process.
If you really have to, you can defeat Mamuta by launching all of your Pikmin on it using Oatchi's Rush. We recommend Red Pikmin to deal great damage.

Dalmo's Log | A gentle creature removed from the fierce competition of the strong eating the weak. It sits in gardens in a pool of sunlight, looking content as it gazes out its big round eyes at a plant it has raised that's just starting to sprout. Don't tease this mild-mannered beastie by messing with the delicate sprouts it's tending. | ||
Olimar's Log |
The imbalanced, asymmetrical arms of the Mamuta are among its most notable features. Feeding on seeds and fruit, the Mamuta is known to actually sow and grow plant species. While other species have exhibited seed-burying behavior for the purpose of storage, the Mamuta is the only species so far known to actually cultivate fields of plants. |

Louie's Log | Inedible. Tastes like chicken. |
