This route will allow you to defeat easier enemies first and pick up the extra Pikmin early before facing off tougher enemies in the scenario.

This scenario will require you to defeat several bosses. Learning about them before playing through the trial would be beneficial. It will provide you with knowledge of how to beat these enemies faster.
There are two purple buds in the area where you can make Purple Pikmin. However, you only need 2 in the scenario to help with the Foolix fight. For all the other enemies, the Rock Pikmin's damage is enough to easily beat them. This also allows you to save time by being able to break the ice walls in the area faster.
Don't forget that Oatchi can also attack. You need to deal as much damage as you can to finish the trial fast.

There's an Ultra-Spicy Spray you can pick up in the area by burrowing through a hole in the ground. While this item might help, you don't need it. Ignoring it will save you some time as well.
All trials of the Sage Leaf can be found when you enter the cave in the north part of the Rescue Command Post.
This cave is unlocked after finishing Olimar's Shipwreck Tale.
