Use Your Pikmin and Oatchi

Obstacles will always require you to strategically use your Pikmin and Oatchi. For fast and easy solutions, utilize the right Pikmin Types for specific obstacles.

Pikmin 4 - Box
Box		 Use Pikmin to push it out of the way.

Pikmin 4 - Buried Obstacles
Buried Treasure, Onions, Cave Entrances, etc.		 Command Oatchi or Pikmin to dig. Yellow Pikmin are especially good at digging.

Pikmin 4 - Conveyor Belt Obstacle
Conveyor Belt		 Command Oatchi to Rush to cross to the other side. Alternatively, change the direction by pushing on the other button.

Pikmin 4 - Cracked Pottery Obstacle
Cracked Pottery		 Command Oatchi to Rush and break them.

Pikmin 4 - Crystal Wall
Crystal Wall		 Use Rock Pikmin to destory it.

Pikmin 4 - Dirt Wall Obstacle
Dirt Wall		 Throw your Pikmin to demolish the wall or use Charge. You can also command Oatchi to Rush to speed up the demolition.

Electric Gate		 Use your Yellow Pikmin to demolish the gates.

Pikmin 4 - Geysers
Geysers		 Use Pikmin that are immune to the geyser element (ex. Red for Fire, Blue for Water, Yellow for Electric, White for Poison).

Pikmin 4 - High Ledges Obstacle
High Ledges		 Throw Yellow Pikmin to reach treasure, castaways, or items placed here.

Pikmin 4 - Hydro Jelly Obstacle
Hydro Jelly		 Throw your Ice Pikmin at it. Once frozen, you can use other Pikmin types to help destroy the Hydro Jelly.

Ice Wall		 Use your Ice Pikmin to destory the gate.

Pikmin 4 - Imcomplete Bridge Obstacle
Incomplete Bridges		 Use your Pikmin to process Raw Materials into Clay at the S.S. Beagle and complete the bridge.

Pikmin 4 - Metal Bridge Obstacle
Metal Bridge		 Jump down and cross to the opposite hill. Throw Pikmin at the bar to drag the bridge down.

Pikmin 4 - Metal Fence
Metal Fence		 For shiny metal fences, these can be lowered by pressing a nearby switch. Brown, rusty fences cannot be moved and can only be passed by you and your Pikmin.

Pikmin 4 - Mud
Mud		 Freeze deep mud with Ice Pikmin or bypass entirely with Winged Pikmin. Equip the Gunk Busters to avoid slowdowns in light mud.

Paper Bags		 Paper bags can either be pushed down a ledge or flattened by your Pikmin.

Poison Mushroom		 Attack with White Pikmin or Oatchi with a Sniff Saver.

Potted Plant		 Drag the plant using Oatchi or Pikmin. The more Pikmin you throw, the faster they pull.

Reinforced Wall		 Throw Bomb Rocks at the wall to destroy it

Rope		 Throw Pikmin at the rope to pull it.

Pikmin 4 - Rough Wall Obstacle
Rough Wall		 Complete the wall using Raw Materials and climb with your Pikmin. Oatchi cannot climb so you will have to Switch and set a rendezvous point.

Sizzling Floor		 Throw Red Pikmin to extinguish the sizzling floor.

Pikmin 4 - Sprinklers
Sprinklers		 Deactivate by completing a nearby clay valve, then use Pikmin on the valve to turn the sprinklers off.

Pikmin 4 - Sticky Mold
Sticky Mold		 Destroy the nearby mushrooms with any Pikmin. Equip the Gunk Busters to cross without being slowed down.

Straw Wall		 Burn the straw by having Red Pikmin carry fire starters from bonfire altars.

Pikmin 4 - Tunnel
Tunnel		 Dig the entrance on one side with Pikmin. Go inside the dug out tunnel to emerge on the other side.

Pikmin 4 - Water Obstacle
Water		 Use Ice Pikmin to freeze the water, Blue Pikmin or Oatchi to swim through, or Winged Pikmin to fly above the water.

Webbing		 Throw your Pikmin to lower hanging treasure or items.
