Tips to Defeat Anode Beetle |
---|
|
The Anode Beetle emits electricity, affecting the surrounding area and creating an electric current with nearby beetles.
Fight using Yellow Pikmin since they are resistant to electricity. If using other Pikmin types, be careful to not get caught by the Anode Beetle's attacks.
Flip Anode Beetles on their backs to leave them vulnerable to attacks. You can do this by throwing Pikmin at them or using Oatchi's Rush.
If you command Oatchi to Rush, however, you do not need to bother flipping the Anode Beetle. Yellow Pikmin can also be thrown even while the enemy flaps their wings and emits electricity.

Dalmo's Log | With this little darling around, outer space's power problems are solved. These generate enough energy to light up the night and help people live comfortably on the most ragingly hot or frigidly cold planets. It'll cost to feed them, but that's a minor detail! | ||
Olimar's Log |
This specimen is representative of an insect hybrid that uses electricity in addition to glycogen for its energy. Although difficult to confirm due to their microscopic size, tiny hairs on the creature's legs cause the friction that generates the electrical charge. The electrical charge is processed by the creature's internal battery structure, and then stored as an electrical field. As this field reaches critical levels, surplus electricity is emitted, resulting in a low-voltage current that is transmitted between specimens. It can shock other creatures in the immediate vicinity. Considering this process, it can be surmised that the largest impetus to pack behavior is not so much for the synergic effect of producing as a pack as it is to take advantage of this most effective means of group preservation. |

Louie's Log | Drain the electrical charge before boiling. Although it is possible to eat an Anode Beetle while it is charged, doing so may result in an unpleasant tingling sensation. |
