Nectar in Pikmin 4 can be found by breaking nectar eggs and pots. Our guide will show you how to get Nectar and what it can be used for.

Break Nectar Eggs

You'll mainly find Nectar inside eggs lying on the ground. Breaking these nectar eggs will cause the yellow Nectar to spill, allowing your Pikmin to take them in!

Make sure to get the Nectar before the day ends because any extract left on the ground disappears the next day.

Break Pots with Rush

Some pots, like the ones in the Last-Frost Cavern, may contain Nectar. Destroy them by using Rush with Oatchi. Just like the eggs, any nectar on the ground will disappear the next day.

Defeat Enemies that Drop Nectar

Honeywisps

Honeywisps are creatures that carry nectar eggs. Throwing a Pikmin at them will cause them to drop the egg, revealing the Nectar inside. You must be quick since they can be tricky to hit once they notice you!

There are 2 respawnable Honeywisps in the Sublevel 2 of the Industrial Maze, so you can farm nectar here.

Yellow Spectralids

Yellow Spectralids are the yellow butterflies you can find near Pellet Posies. Defeating them will cause them to drop nectar although hitting them can be tricky since they fly around a lot.

Frozen Enemies

Enemies frozen by Ice Pikmin or the Ice Blast will drop nectar when defeated. However, they will not leave a corpse this way. This means you won't be able to produce Pikmin or gain sparklium from them.

Nectar Uses

Speeds Up Pikmin

Nectar makes Pikmin flowers bloom, symbolizing their maturation. Pikmin with flowers move and transport objects faster, speeding up any tasks they do. Each puddle of Nectar is enough to enhance 10 Pikmin.

Red Nectar is enough to make one Ultra-Spicy Spray which instantly blooms all Pikmin flowers and speeds them up even more.

Heals Oatchi

Oatchi can use nectar to heal himself! He'll drink just enough to recover his HP to full, so your Pikmin can have the rest.
