How to Complete Caves

Find All Rescues

Rescues	Characters that you need to find inside caves. This can be Rescue Corps Officers or Civilian Castaways

To complete a cave, you must find the Rescues within each one and then exit once they are delivered to the S.S. Beagle.

Rescues Are Not Exclusive to a Specific Cave

While they are the main objective in completing caves, note that Rescues are not tied to a specific cave.

For example, depending on the first cave you went into, Russ can be found in the Last-Frost Cavern or Crackling Cauldron. Regardless of the cave, he still will be the first Rescue.

100% Caves by Acquiring All Objectives

Treasure	Shiny, collectible objects that is converted in Sparklium after delivering it to the S.S. Beagle.
Onions	In some caves, Onions can be found, which are nests that houses Pikmin. The color of the Onion determines what Pikmin can be housed.

For a 100% completion, you must also find all the treasures that are inside the cave and onions (if there are any).

Underground Dungeons to Explore Different Time Compared to the Surface

Underground Dungeons to Explore

Caves are underground areas that you can explore with Oatchi and other Pikmin you have acquired. You will find Rescues, Treasures, and Onions inside these caves. Explore as much as you can!

Different Time Compared to the Surface

Exploring caves will be 1/6th of the time in the surface. This means that you can take your time exploring caves without worrying about the sun setting.
