Bait It to Eat a Bomb Rock

To start the fight, bait Sovereign Bulblax into eating a Bomb Rock by equipping one, standing in front of it, and wait for its lick move. Once the bomb detonates, Sovereign Bulblax will fall and get stunned.

Note that you have to disband everyone here, including Oatchi, so Sovereign Bulblax focuses on you and none of your Pikmin interfere.

Use Rush to Launch Your Pikmin on Its Head

Once Sovereign Bulblax is stunned, immediately use whistle to recall your Pikmin, ride Oatchi, then use Rush towards its face to deal damage and launch all of your Pikmin on it.

It's ideal to have at least 30 Ice Pikmin. This way, you can freeze Sovereign Bulblax before he recovers from being stunned, extending your time to attack. Filling up the rest of your team with Red Pikmin will ensure that you deal great damage or even beat the Sovereign with just one rush!

You can increase your maximum Pikmin limit by collecting Flarlics scattered throughout the game.

You Can Also Launch Your Pikmin on Its Chin

You can also launch your Pikmin on its chin after it finishes its lick move.

You will deal significant damage before Sovereign Bulblax jumps and scatters the Pikmin. When it does this, immediately use your whistle to recall your Pikmin to safety.

Watch Out For Its Body Slam Move

Being too close to Sovereign Bulblax will prompt it to do its body slam move, which can eliminate lots of Pikmin if you're not careful. Time your attacks right and make sure you and your Pikmin are safe.

Use Your Whistle When It Roars

Sovereign Bulblax's roar will scatter Oatchi and the Pikmin. If caught in a bad spot, they can be subject to the Sovereign's judgement. Be sure to immediately use your whistle to regroup your team to safety!

Olimar's Log	An Emperor Bulblax of extremely advanced age. It will no longer display the pack behavior commonly exhibited by younger members of its species. Instead, as an individual ages, it leaves the herd and exhibits more solitary behaviors. It feeds by using its strongly developed legs to leap upon and crush its prey with speed disproportionate to its massive body. To determine the age of any given specimen, you can count the rings of hide calcified in the form of a carapace. One ring forms roughly every year the creature lives. Individuals with over a hundred rings have been discovered so far. The Sovereign Bulblax's back is often covered in moss and pteridophytes. On a few occasions, specimens have been found with a rare species of mushroom, called a Bulborel, growing on its back.
