Tips to Defeat Withering Blowhog |
---|
|
To defeat Withering Blowhog, throw Pikmin at it to make it drop. When it's on the ground, you can throw more Pikmin in to defeat it quicker or, with Charging Horn equipped, send all of them at once by pressing the X button.
You can also send Oatchi to help the Pikmin out.
True to its name, Withering Blowhog's attack will 'wither' any bloomed Pikmin, turning the flowers on their heads into leaf. While they will not get eliminated by this attack, this will lower their movement speed, so avoid this move as much as you can.
If the Pikmin get caught in this move, use an Ultra-Spicy Spray or find nearby Nectar to bloom them once again.

Dalmo's Log | You can have a bit of fun with this one by giving it a good poke and watching it wobble and sway through the air like a balloon. Poke it too much, though, and it may spew gas and fly off. It's a mischievous little darling, and the way it scatters flowers and cackles is quite charming! | ||
Olimar's Log |
The Withering Blowhog is a close relative of the Puffy Blowhog, but its breath is significantly weaker. However, its breath does contain a petal-withering plant hormone that causes flowers to instantly lose their petals. Although its breath has not been studied in detail, analysis of the chemical compounds involved hold great promise for the biotechnology sector. |

Louie's Log | Hang this creature on a rack, and sun dry on a hot afternoon. When suitably crisp, grind the sun-dried beast into powder. Makes a great substitute for cayenne or curry powder! |
