The true ending in Pikmin 4 can be attained after beating the final boss of the game. Read on to learn how to get the true and secret endings, as well as if there are multiple endings and how to get them!

Rescuing Olimar in the Hero's Hideaway shows the first ending of the game and rolls the credits. To get the true ending, you'll need to play through the postgame story.
Rescue Olimar Main Mission Guide
The postgame mission involves curing Oatchi and rescuing three Koppaites. Rescuing Nelle after beating Louie in a Dandori Battle unlocks the final cave, Cavern for a King, which has the final boss.
Cure Oatchi Main Mission Guide
Clearing Olimar's Shipwreck Tale before beating the final boss unlocks the secret ending, a variation of the true ending that includes the S.S. Dolphin but is otherwise very similar.
You can get the true and secret endings after defeating Ancient Sirehound, the final boss of the postgame. You'll be rewarded with the Gift of Friendship treasure which is needed to cure Oatchi.
Pikmin 4 has two main endings, the first ending and the true ending. The first ending is shown after clearing the Rescue Olimar mission, while the true ending is played after beating the Ancient Sirehound and completing the Cure Oatchi mission.
The secret ending is a variation of the true ending and requires completing Olimar's Shipwreck Tale for the S.S. Dolphin to appear.
Olimar's Shipwreck Tale details how Olimar ended up stuck on PNF-404 once again and how he turned into a Leafling. While the aftermath is the same, the two different endings change how the events play out.
The good ending for Olimar's Shipwreck Tale can be obtained by collecting all 30 ship parts within 15 days. The alternate or bad ending is shown if you fail to fully repair the ship in the given time.
Cavern for a King is the last cave in the game and can be found in the Primordial Thicket. This cave involves a boss rush of 20 sublevels, and you can find the final boss at the very bottom.
