Using the Radar Map |

Use the map in Pikmin 4 by pressing the + button on your Nintendo Switch. This brings you straight to the Radar Map which will show your current location.
With your Radar Map open, press ZL to face the direction of your map’s pointer. This closes the Radar Map and adjusts your avatar to face the set destination.
Place pins on the Radar Map by pressing the Y button while you have the map open. This helps you organize your exploration better and keep track of areas of interest.

The Radar Map enables the Go Here function when Oatchi reaches Command Lv. 2.
Go Here allows you to pick a specific area in the map and navigate there automatically by pressing the A button.

Treasures are items that you need to collect to gain sparklium. They are marked with a star icon on the Radar Map.
Flarlic and other types of Onions are marked on the Radar Map. Look for a small Onion icon on your map.
The Radar Map shows an icon over caves that are cleared, unexplored, or yet to be completed. This helps you keep track of what caves you need to go back to or clear.
Use the Radar Map to find where any stray Pikmin may be and collect them quickly. This is especially helpful before night comes.
Command Effect and How to Unlock
Once explored, the Radar Map lets you see how big the area is, where the obstacles and caves are, and how many treasure or Onions may be there.
