Tips to Defeat Bogswallow |
---|
|
Bogswallow can be defeated with a single Bomb Rock. To do this, equip a Bomb Rock by holding down the Y button, select Pack, then select the item in your inventory.
With the item equipped, stand in front of Bogswallow as it inhales and wait for it to swallow the Bomb Rock. It will instantly be defeated after the Bomb Rock detonates inside it.
One Bomb Rock costs 8 Raw Materials and can be purchased from Russ in The Lab.
Bogswallows are usually found in the water. Before you attack it with your Pikmin or Oatchi, wait for it to come up then use Ice Pikmin to freeze the water.
Depending on Bogswallow's location, it takes a lot of Ice Pikmin to do this. To increase your Pikmin limit, collect Flarlics located throughout the game.

▸Primordial Thicket ▸The Mud Pit |

Dalmo's Log | It pops up out of the mud, often with no warning, to say hello. With a body like a hose and a big round mouth, it sates its appetite by feeding on the mud itself! Its six bright eyes mean it's sure to see the fondness we have for it six times better! I hope it eats up all that unending affection! | ||
Olimar's Log |
This species prefers to inhabit cloudy, stagnant water like that in swamps, and it spends most of its life buried in mud and hiding. Using its six eyelike sensory organs, it can detect minute movements in the water and vibrations on nearby land. It will then forcefully leap out of the water and suck up its prey to feed. With its entirely cartilaginous skeleton and somewhat primitive features- like its round, chinless mouth- it appears to be some sort of primeval creature. |
||
Louie's Log | Leave it out overnight to drain the mud from the carcass. When ready to eat, cut into rings, then grill over high heat. The more you chew it, the more flavorful it becomes. |
