Swarming in Pikmin 4 can be done with ZL and the right stick once you have the Lineup Trumpet. Read on to learn how to swarm and how to unlock the Lineup Trumpet.

How to Swarm or Form Line

Hold ZL and Move the Right Stick with the Lineup Trumpet

Swarm is known as Form Line in Pikmin 4 and requires the Lineup Trumpet gear to execute. Once you have the Lineup Trumpet, hold ZL and move the right stick to the direction you want your Pikmin to face.

The Lineup Trumpet is a reward for completing the Music of a Past Culture 3 side mission given by Frisé. This requires you to find all 13 treasures in the Soulful Musician series.
