This is the first form you will encounter Ancient Sirehound in. Its fur is in different shades of aqua. Its tail will be bright yellow all throughout the whole five forms.
Its moves consists of jumping high up and body slamming to the ground, which will make rock pillars drop from above. He can also charge at you, usually indicated by the Rescue Corps Officers text pop-up.
After defeating Ancient Sirehound in its normal form, it will shake its whole body to transform its fur into something that resembles ice.
Its moves consist of summoning snowballs that will roll around the arena and an Ice Beam capable of freezing you, Oatchi, and your Pikmin.
Defeating Ancient Sirehound in its Ice Form will transform it into its Shock Form. Its fur, now yellow, is seemingly induced with electricity. Getting too close to it while on this form will shock your Pikmin.
Ancient Sirehound's next transformation will change its fur from yellow to bright orange, emphasizing the power of fire it has.
To start the fight, it summons volatile fur balls around the arena. Then, it will shoot fireballs at you. Its final move is to stomp the ground, sending waves of fire around its body. The balls it summoned react to this, also creating waves of fire around its area.
This is Ancient Sirehound's final form. It will turn bright green and will spend most of its time flying.
It summons red, deadly puddles around the arena, which, in a single touch, can damage you and Oatchi and destroy your Pikmin. It can also fire this red substance in a straight line right at you, so its best to keep moving while fighting Ancient Sirehound in this form.
Steps to Beat Ancient Sirehound |
---|
|
Beating Ancient Sirehound requires you flip it over to attack its belly. To do this, target its tail and throw 15 Pikmin to weigh it down. We recommend throwing 2 Purple Pikmin to make this process quicker.
After it rolls over, use Rush to launch all of your Pikmin on its belly. Repeat until it's defeated. This is going to be the main strategy to beat Ancient Sirehound, so always go for the tail first!
During Ancient Sirehound's first form, it will jump and body slam you. The impact will cause rock pillars to drop from the ceiling.
Hide behind these pillars and when Ancient Sirehound rushes at you, the impact on the rock pillar will stun it long enough for you to get behind its back and topple it.
During Ancient Sirehound's Ice Form, you can only access the tail when it does its Ice Beam move. Quickly get behind it during this while also watching out for the rolling snowballs that it will summon.
In its Shock Form, Ancient Sirehound's tail will only be accessible after it tilts its head up and summons surges of electricity around it. However, getting to the tail will get troublesome because of the yellow orbs it summons that can shock your Pikmin.
To deal with this, have the Yellow Pikmin destroy the orbs before Ancient Sirehound's surges attack.
When in its Shock Form, getting too close to Ancient Sirehound will shock your Pikmin, leaving them open to get disintegrated. Always stay a safe distance when fighting it in this form.
During this form, Ancient Sirehound's tail will only be accessible after it stomps the ground, summoning waves of fire underneath it. Quickly get behind it to get to the tail; this area will be your opening since no waves of fire will emanate here.
Ancient Sirehound will also summon fiery fur balls that can also create fire waves when hit with the flames from its creator. Destroy these fur balls with the Red Pikmin first to make the ground easier to traverse.
In its final form, Ancient Sirehound's tail can only be accessed after it fires a fissure-like red beam towards you. Traverse the arena carefully and get to that tail!
Similiar with Smoky Progg, this red puddle can instantly eliminate any Pikmin close to it. If you are not careful with your position, this puddle can possibly eliminate all of your army. Carefully move around these puddles!

Dalmo's Log | A coat that's dense and rough like a primeval forest, a stench like a wet canine, and a shockingly toasty body temperature... Clearly a dog in every sense. The long history of dogs being companions we can rely on triggers an instinctive reaction through our entire bodies! If I were left on this planet with this massive cutie, I'd be content! | ||
Olimar's Log |
If we harvest mesenchymal stem cells from this gigantic canine creature and cultivate them with glow sap, the generated serum should return Oatchi's leafified tail to normal once administered. These results would indicate that 99.9 percent of the canine creature's DNA matches Oatchi's, and that the only difference between Oatchi and Moss may be the natural presence or absence of a leaf tail. If these two theories prove to be true, it would suggest the possibility that this ancient creature is a common ancestor to two canine species from vastly remote star systems. And that, perhaps, there are even more hidden secrets out there that could hint at a fascinating yet inconceivable truth the universe has yet to reveal... |

Louie's Log | The ultimate ride, plush and comfortable. I wish I could bring it home with me. |
