Rescue the Rescue Corps	Quest Giver: Collin Following emergency protocol, all officers were directed to evacuate the spaceship immediately. Finding the dispersed Rescue Corps is now your top priority!
Secure Energy Source	Quest Giver: Shepherd Apparently sparkly objects can be used as an energy source. Locate as many as you can so you can restart the S.S. Shepherd!
Rescue Olimar	Quest Giver: Shepherd Captain Olimar is shipwrecked on this unknown planet. Discover his whereabouts while you search for missing Rescue Corps Officers.
Rescue All Castaways	Quest Giver: Shepherd As if we didn't have enough work finding Captain Olimar and the Rescue Corps, there are also civilian castaways on this planet. Rescue any that you come across.
Cure Oatchi	Quest Giver: Shepherd This "Nelle" is a renowned veterinarian. She should have some ideas for what to do about Oatchi's tail. Focus search efforts in the newly discovered area.
Investigate the Planet	Quest Giver: Shepherd There are many things on the planet you have yet to discover. We've come this far—let's investigate everything!

How Long to Beat Pikmin 4?

Collect Treasures for Sparklium to Unlock Areas

It's necessary to grab all the Treasure you can find to obtain Sparklium and unlock more areas.

As you progress the story on each area, you can also try investigating the whole map until you reach 100% completion for Treasures, Onions, Flarlics, and Castaways that may unlock more features and Side Missions!

Find the Rescue Corps Members and the Castaways

You can unlock more game content by rescuing Castaways! All of the Rescue Corps Members including some of the other Castaways are related to story progression or can make your journey easier by giving you rewards through Side Missions.

Open Paths by Clearing Walls and Building Structures

There are also a lot of obstacles in each area that can be removed or bypassed by specific Pikmin Types, giving you more reason to have enough Pikmin of each kind to open more paths to new areas.

Rescuing Russ also adds the option to build structures like clay bridges and climbing walls using Raw Materials on places where the foundations are already set.

Grow More Pikmin

No matter what task is on hand, you'll need Pikmin to get it done. Try to get as many Pikmin as you can, even if you hit the squad size limit, just in case you need a Pikmin type in large numbers or in unfortunate events that you lose some of them.
