Dandori Battle Tips and Strategies |

In the early stage of the minigame, focus on getting more Pikmin by grabbing the nearby pellets. You will need them in order to open shortcuts and transport the treasures and enemies.
Try to reduce the number of idle Pikmin as much as possible and keep assigning them to tasks. Pikmin tend to wait under the onion after transporting objects, so be sure to use the whistle or use the Idler's Alert to collect them after.
Since you are on the same field as the opponent, you will share the work of destroying walls and digging up treasures. You can let the opponent destroy the walls so you can focus on using your Pikmin to collect the treasures.
However, there are times where you will have to destroy the walls on your own if they do not do so.
You can steal your opponent's treasure by throwing more Pikmin on the treasure that they are transporting to their base. Charging is an effective way to quickly win the tug-of-war. You can use this tactic to effectively reduce the opponent's points and increase yours.
Oatchi will join you during Dandori Battles. Make sure to raise his skills to make winning easier. The Buff and Super Buff skills are helpful as this allows him to carry heavier objects. Switching with him can also let you cover more ground easily.
There is no penalty for losing a Dandori Battle. You can retry again and learn the placement of the treasures and objects to efficiently transport them within the time limit.
Dandori Battles may be a skill competition, but luck also plays a part in winning. Make sure to get the Mystery Capsules that randomly appear. These contain useful items that can help you or sabotage your opponent. If you get hit, try to recover quickly to make up for lost time.
Just like Castaways, Dandori Battles are not tied to a location except Leafy Showdown, which you'll always do in Hero's Hideaway. You're always going to do them in a specific order regardless of what area you are in.
Below is a list of all the locations where you can find a Dandori Battle cave.
Dandori Battle is a minigame where you compete with another opponent to collect the most number of treasures and enemies within the time limit. You cannot use your Pikmin in the minigame, so you will need to increase their numbers on the spot.
You can replay any Dandori Battles you've cleared during the story by speaking with Corgwin at the Rescue Command Post once you rescue him. This is where you can try to get Platinum from past battles!
You can team up to co-op with a friend or battle against them by selecting Dandori Battles from the title screen. It will prompt you to choose either P1 vs. CPU, P1 vs. P2, or P1 & P2 vs. CPU. The stages here are unlocked separately from the main story, so you'll need to complete them again in this mode.
The P1 vs. P2 option lets you do a Dandori Battle with a friend locally, challenging each other in a split-screen setup, while the P1 & P2 vs. CPU option makes P2 assist you with the Pebble Pitcher.
You earn points based on the weight of the treasures and enemies that you have collected. The player with the most number of points wins the Dandori Battle.
You can unlock more Dandori Battles as you progress through the game. Find the Leaflings in surface locations and follow them to unlock more challenges.

・Get points based on the weight of the item. ・You cannot use your Pikmin in Dandori Challenges, so you need to collect them on the spot. |
You obtain points based on the weight of the item and enemies you transport to the base. Heavier objects give more points but are more difficult to transport. Collecting items marked as Bonus Finds will multiply the points they give.
You cannot use your Pikmin when completing Dandori Battles, and you can only use up to 50 of them. You will need to use the ones that spawn within the minigame.
For some battles, a Sneak Bomb will spawn on the field after some time. If you bring this bomb to your opponent's base, it will explode and cause them to lose points. The lost points will appear as weights called Dandorium, which you can steal to your base to earn points.
