Enter and explore caves as much as you can even after completing them. You can get more Pikmin fast since Wild Pikmin respawn in sublevels.

Pellets give you more Pikmin when brought to the base. New Pikmin from pellets are limited to the Onion colors that you already have.
Get even more Pikmin by matching the Pikmin type that you throw to the color of the pellet.
Candypop Buds will give you up to 5 new Pikmin for every 5 that you throw at it. By using this flower, you convert the Pikmin thrown to a new type.
For example, throwing Red Pikmin at the pink Candypop Bud in the Below-Grade Discothequewill yield Winged Pikmin.
Oatchi the Rescue Pup has a great nose for seeking more Pikmin. Once a Pikmin has joined your squad, Oatchi can track and follow their scent in an area so you can get more fast.
However, he cannot track Pikmin types when you have their Onions.
