Save data from the Pikmin 4 demo can be imported into the full game. Read on to find out how to transfer and how to maximize the demo for a head start before the full game releases.

Manually Import During First Startup

Pikmin 4 - Import Demo Save Data

The first time you startup Pikmin 4, it should automatically detect your demo save data. Select Import to transfer the data to the full game. From here, all your demo save files will now be available, allowing you to continue where you left off!

There seems to be no way to import data afterward, so make sure to import the data once it asks!

Maximize Demo for a Head Start

Pikmin 4 - Demo Progress

Because you will be able to continue your progress from the demo, it's recommended to maximize your demo playthrough to get a head start before the full game releases. You'll even get a bonus reward of 5 Bomb Rocks for completing the Sparklium requirement!

You can nearly complete the Sun-Speckled Terrace in the demo by rescuing all 7 Castaways on the map and getting all 4 Onions first. Since the demo ends the day after collecting 1,500 Sparklium, it's best to collect all the treasure last so you can carry over as much progress as possible to the full game.
