The Red Onion, in Pikmin 4, can be obtained at the Rescue Command Post on the first day of the game. Read on to learn how to get the red onion as well as its effects.

How to Get Red Onion
Found in the Rescue Command Post on Day 1
The Red Onion is at the Rescue Command Post in Day 1 after rescuing Shepherd. Have Oatchi dig up the Red Onion on the west side of the map and take it to the S.S. Beagle to make it produce Red Pikmin.
Red Onion Effects
Increase Red Pikmin Population with Red Pellets
Once you have the Red Onion, you can increase your Red Pikmin population. You can do this by retrieving red pellets from flowers using Oatchi or Pikmin.
