Steps to Beat Foolix |
---|
|
When engaging Foolix, pay attention to its tail. When it comes out, you can send 15 Pikmin to pull it out, which will make Foolix vulnerable to your attacks.
Pulling the tail out of the blob will also scatter goo-like substances, which Foolix can recall to regain its body. These can also trap you, Oatchi, or your Pikmin. Watch out for this and if you get caught, just repeatedly tap the B button to escape.
You can also throw Ice Pikmin to Foolix's body. Depending on how many you have, Foolix will freeze in just a short amount of time, giving you the opportunity to Rush in and break the body off.
Unlike the first strategy, this will not summon goo-like substances around it, making it easier to attack without getting trapped.
Once the blob surrounding its body is destroyed, launch all your Pikmin at Foolix to overwhelm it. This is where the power of the Red Pikmin will truly shine. Watch its health dwindle!
Foolix Overview | |||

Goolix | 5 | 20 | 30 |
Sci. Name | Mononuclei stellacodus | ||
Locations |

Dalmo's Log | If you take the microorganisms I used to peer at through my microscope as a child and blow them up much, MUCH bigger, this is what you get. A huge, single-celled sweetie, it blorpily sloshes around in search of food. To this giant, we're the microorganisms! | ||
Olimar's Log |
A member of the Goolix family, this primitive life-form is made up of a single cell, which is quite odd given its size. Its nucleus is shaped like a bulbous star, and individuals move by using the fin at the end of its flagellum-like tail to quickly expand and contract its gelatinous body. If the nucleus is removed, its soft body loses all structures and splatters. But as long as the nucleus is still alive, the Foolix can return to its original form. Usually, the Foolix will mimic nectar and wait for its prey. Its gel, which includes fire-extinguishing fluids, will then expand to capture and feed on unsuspecting organisms. |

Louie's Log | Gently remove the jellied parts. Add a fruit and sweetener of your choice, then serve as a gelatin dessert. |
Foolix can only be found in one location in the game.
