Tips to Defeat Shockcake |
---|
|
Before engaging Shockcake, be sure to equip Charging Horn so you can send all of your Pikmin all at once by pressing the X button.
While attacking, Shockcake will tilt its body vertically. Recall your Pikmin when it does this; its next move is to drop hard on the ground, smashing any Pikmin caught in the impact.
Shock Side | Normal Side |
---|---|
Shockcake's shock side can only be attacked by Yellow Pikmin. For any other Pikmin, they can attack the normal side, which is clear of the electricity. We recommend having Yellow Pikmin in your lineup to attack the shock side.

Anti-Electrifier (Oatchi) | Prevents Oatchi from getting shocked while attacking Shockcake's ice side. Cost: 100 Raw Materials |
Oatchi can help out with Anti-Electrifier equipped. This gear will prevent our beloved rescue pup from getting shocked while attacking Shockcake's shock side.
Don't let your guard down yet when Shockcake's health has been depleted! It will drop for one last time, possibly eliminating any Pikmin caught within the vicinity.
When Shockcake's about to die, recall you Pikmin and attack only when it's flat on the ground.

Dalmo's Log | Living creatures can sense your intent and emotions, so if you face them with love in your heart, they'll know it. When you love and are loved back, even the occasional electric shock isn't so bad. That's right-instead of play biting, this sweetie does play shocking. It can zap away shoulder stiffness and fatigue in a flash! | ||
Olimar's Log |
This species has muscular organs that can create electricity by using ion gradients within densely layered rows of electricity-generating cells, which are arranged in an asymmetrical series. It uses its plug-like protrusions to instantly shock its prey, and then squashes it. The squashed prey acts as fertilizer, improving the quality of the soil so that the microorganisms and moss that the Shockcake feeds on can thrive. |
||
Louie's Log | Sauté in butter, and cover with a sauce made from the green liver paste. Anyone with a highly developed palate will enjoy the slightly bitter flavor profile. |
