We recommend to aim and throw your Pikmin on the Downy's Snagret's face. But when your Pikmin has been shaken off, be sure to get it back immediately. If your Pikmin are attacking from the ground, they may get eaten by this enemy!

To target the creature's face easily, press the ZR button to aim and launch your Pikmin with accuracy.

Be Careful When Opening Eggs

When breaking and opening eggs, there are various things or creatures that may be inside! For creatures, you may either find the Downy Snagret or Mitite when breaking the eggs. It is best to be careful and keep your distance since the enemies will automatically attack.

There are times where you will also find helpful items when opening the eggs. For items, you will find Nectar or Red Nectar that is used in the Ultra-Spicy Spray so we recommend trying to see what's inside the eggs!

DalmoDalmo's Log The sight of this wee one boinging around and pecking at its food all while skillfully balanced on its one leg is truly awww-inspiring. If you get too close, it might feel vulnerable and give you a warning poke with its beak. Or it might just turn to you for comfort.
OlimarOlimar's Log Due to a common phenomenon known as imprinting, this baby will recognize anything that it sees or hears within a given length of time after it hatches as its parent, and consequently follows it around.
However, the Downy Snagret has two specific conditions for imprinting. The first is that the target must be tall and blue, and the second is related to the sound of its cry. This means that it will never make a mistake with something as small as we are and will instead recognize it...or us...as food.
Since it is still a fledgling, the Downy Snagret does not go underground to feed. Instead, it stays on the surface where there is plenty of food. It looks harmless enough, but beware... Its parents may be hiding nearby until the baby is old enough to fend for itself.
LouieLouie's Log Grind up the meat and cartilage, then mold into meatballs. The tender texture of the meat contrasts nicely with the crunchy, chewy cartilage bits.
