This lovely floating critter sucks up food by stretching and contracting its body. It's hard to imagine such a graceful creature could be of this world. It would be rather exciting to get sucked in with all the treasures and Pikmin to float on forever. But if that really happened, I wouldn't be of this world for long either! | ||

Vivid pink coloration is the most noticeable characteristic of this floating life-form. This invasive species is not native to the region, having appeared to have recently arrived on wind currents. The luminescent organs atop its head attract prey, which it then sucks up and consumes with its lower orifice. Unlike jellyfish, the Jellyfloat's tentacles do not have nematocysts, so there is no danger in touching them. |

How to Defeat Greater Spotted Jellyfloat
Trapped Pikmin Die After 30 Seconds
The Greater Spotted Jellyfloat will attack Pikmin by sucking them in and trapping them. The trapped Pikmin will survive inside the Jellyfloat for 30 seconds, so you need to defeat it within 30 seconds to rescue the trapped Pikmin.
Avoid Getting Sucked in with Brace Boots

Equipping the Brace Boots will prevent your character from getting sucked into the Jellyfloat. However, the Pikmin can still be sucked in, so you will have to guide them accordingly during the fight.
Have it Suck in a Bomb

Allowing the Jellyfloat to suck in a bomb guarantees it will get hit by the explosion. However, if you use a Bomb Rock, the trapped Pikmin will also be blown up. So, use an Ice Blast instead if there are already trapped Pikmin.
