The Ice Onion, in Pikmin 4, can be obtained in the Hero's Hideaway area. Read on to learn how to get the Ice Onion as well as its effects.

The Ice Onion can be obtained at the fourth area of the game, Hero's Hideaway. To get the Ice Onion, you will need the Scorch Guard for yourself and Oatchi before entering the Frozen Inferno cave. You'll also need Ice Pikmin to freeze Hydro Jelly.

| 1 |  Go to the Feasting Centre (Base 2). |
| 2 |  Head to the top through the tunnel. |
| 3 | Explore the Frozen Inferno cave. You'll need the Scorch Guard for both you and Oatchi first. |
| 4 |  Jump on the floating platform. |
| 5 | Destroy the Hydro Jelly using Ice Pikmin. |
| 6 |  Throw your Pikmin to carry the Onion to your base. |
Once you have the Ice Onion, you can increase your Ice Pikmin population. You can do this by retrieving ice pellets from flowers using Oatchi or Pikmin.
