An Ode to Science, in Pikmin 4, is a Side Mission where you need to acquire all 33 gear in the game. Read on to see an overview of An Ode to Science mission, its rewards, how to unlock it, and how to complete it!

An Ode to Science is unlocked after rescuing Russ and interacting with him at the Rescue Command Post. He will be the 5th castaway you'll find and rescue from caves.
 Plucking Whistle

When used, it plucks all the Pikmin from the ground. |
Completing the An Ode to Science mission will unlock the Plucking Whistle gear that allows you to instantly pluck all the Pikmin available from the ground. The Plucking Whistle will be available for purchase at The Lab for 240 Raw Materials.
Plucking Whistle Uses and How to Get
To complete the An Ode to Science side mission, you'll need to purchase all 33 Gear from The Lab which can be accessed by visiting Russ at the Rescue Command Post. You will need to progress through the game to unlock all the gear, and you will need to farm raw materials to be able to purchase them all.
