Keep the Ice Pikmin in the Water
Don't call the Ice Pikmin freezing the water near you as the challenge starts. You'll be crossing the frozen water to get to areas quickly.
Get the Blue Pikmin instead after crossing the frozen water to increase the number of Pikmin in your squad.
Efficiency is Key
Most treasures in the northeast area are fairly large and takes a long time to carry back to the S.S. Beagle. Collect Pikmin in the western area and defeat enemies with Oatchi's Rush.
Use Ice Pikmin to Freeze Areas with Water
Use Ice Pikmin to freeze areas with water for a shorter route while letting the Blue Pikmin carry the treasures.
It'll be necessary to unfreeze the water at some point since there are treasures underwater which can't be carried when the water is frozen. Use Blue Pikmin to get the treasures underwater.
