The Lesser Spotted Jellyfloat will attack Pikmin by sucking them in and trapping them. The trapped Pikmin will survive, and they can be rescued after defeating the Jellyfloat.

Allowing the Jellyfloat to suck in a bomb guarantees it will get hit by the explosion. However, if you use a Bomb Rock, the trapped Pikmin will also be blown up. So, use an Ice Blast instead if there are already trapped Pikmin.
