Tips to Defeat Freezecake |
---|
|
Before engaging Freezecake, be sure to equip Charging Horn so you can send all of your Pikmin all at once by pressing the X button.
While attacking, Freezecake will tilt its body vertically. Recall your Pikmin when it does this; its next move is to drop hard on the ground, smashing any Pikmin caught in the impact.
Ice Side | Normal Side |
---|---|
Freezecake's ice side can only be attacked by Ice Pikmin. For any other Pikmin, they can attack the normal side, which is clear of the frost. We recommend having Ice Pikmin in your lineup to attack the ice side.
Equipment | Effect |

Thermal Defense (Oatchi) | Prevents Oatchi from getting frozen while attacking Freezecake's ice side. Cost: 100 Raw Materials |
We also recommend equipping Oatchi with Thermal Defense. This will prevent him from getting frozen, which will allow our beloved rescue pup to help out in attacking Freezecake's ice side.
Don't let your guard down yet when Freezecake's health has been depleted! It will drop for one last time, possibly eliminating any Pikmin caught within the vicinity.
When Freezecake's about to die, recall you Pikmin and attack only when it's flat on the ground.

Dalmo's Log | The way its blue-white shell is woven through with cracks makes it look like a porcelain coaster. What's more, it's cold enough to keep your drink chilled! Of course, this remarkable critter is very much alive and would flip-flop your drink right over! | ||
Olimar's Log | By emitting frigid air from one side of its shell, it can freeze and squash any prey that approaches too closely. Food can be hard to find in extremely cold climates, so one theory is that this species has developed some kind of mechanism that allows it to store its prey for long periods of time. | ||
Louie's Log | The meat under the icy side of the shell is quite muscular, while the other side is nice and fatty. Two great tastes in one! |
