Masterhop in Pikmin 4 is a boss that can be found in Seafloor Resort and Giant's Hearth. Learn Masterhop's locations, the recommended Pikmin to use against it, how to beat it, as well as its weight and Sparklium value in this guide.

Since this is essentially a giant Wollyhop, you should be able to beat it with the recommended Pikmin for the cave. You'll also find wild Blue Pikmin and Ice Pikmin while descending the cave to bolster your numbers.

Masterhop has a high bounce that can not only flatten any Pikmin but also creates puddles where it lands. It will usually do this when you're directly in front of it.
Masterhop can easily be dealt with on the ground by freezing it with Ice Pikmin. However, you can instantly defeat it if you freeze it midair. To do so, bait it to do a large hop to give your Ice Pikmin enough time. Once frozen, it will crash down and die immediately!

The Yellow Wollyhop's telomerase enzymes are particularly active, which prevents their bodies' cells from aging. Under the right conditions, it's not unusual for some individuals to reach over 50 years in age. |
