Get Pup Drive in Pikmin 4 by rescuing Castaways and curing Leaflings. Our guide will show you how to get Pup Drive, as well as how to use it!

You can get more Pup Drive by rescuing Castaways and curing Leaflings. When commanded, Oatchi can sniff them out if there are any nearby. You're rewarded with one Pup Drive per successful rescue, so make sure to find as many as you can!
Castaways can be found in the various caves all over the map. Bring them back to the surface to rescue them and increase Oatchi's Pup Drive!

Some Leaflings will challenge you to Dandori Battles and Challenges. Once you successfully beat them, bring the Leafling back to the S.S. Beagle to increase Oatchi's Pup Drive.
Oatchi will gain Pup Drive for every Leafling you cure with glow sap. You can get glow sap during Night Expeditions by successfully defending Lumiknolls.
Pup Drive is used to upgrade Oatchi's skills or learn new ones through training. Each skill has a different Pup Drive cost and can't be refunded, so you'll need to plan out what to teach him. You can train Oatchi by talking to Shepherd at the Rescue Command Post.
