Remnawave Towers or Activation Intel reveal the location and info of nearby World Intel activities when activated. These towers will often be guarded by enemies that players will have to defeat in order to access and activate the tower.
Protorelics or Phenomenon Intel reveal glimpses about the mysterious figure known as Gilgamesh. Hunt down these relics across all the regions to learn more about this elusive swordsman of legend.
Sanctuaries or Divine Intel are tied to Summon Materia in FF7 Rebirth. Discovering and solving their minigame will allow you to unlock lower combat difficulties for Summon Boss fights in Chadley's Combat Simulator.
Additionally, they also double as upgrades for the new Summons. By completing all 3 Sanctuaries related to a Summon, the Materia will automatically grow and level up to a max of ★4. This unlocks new abilties for it to use in combat.
Combat Assignments or Fiend Intel usually has you fight unique variants of monsters in the open-world. These battles will have 3 objectives for you to fulfill in order to reap the most amount of rewards possible.
Lifesprings or Expedition Intel has you scan small deposits of pure mako in the open world. Scan all Lifesprings in a region to unlock all available Excavation and Classified Intel activities within it.
Excavation Intel has you and your Chocobo sniffing out and digging up buried treasure. Unlike regular hidden treasure, Excavations offer Transmuter Chips which unlock Crafting Recipes for you to use.

Classified Intel usually pertains to the Secret Boss monsters found in each of the different regions of the game. Once you've scanned enough Lifesprings, Classified Intel becomes available, allowing you to challenge a powerul monster to get unique rewards.

Data Points | Rare Materia | Party EXP |
Completing any type of World Intel will reward you with regional Data Points. This is a special type of currency used to develop new Materia via Chadley's Research menu. To develop new Materia, speak to Chadley inside settlements or Chocobo Ranches within the region.
Note: Data Points are region-locked. For example, any Data Points earned in the Grasslands will not carry over to Junon (and vice versa). Since each region will have its own unique set of developed Materia, it will also have separate Data Point counters as well.
