How to Unlock My White-Haired Angel

Reach Chapter 11 and Complete Smoke Sent Up Main Objective

You will need to reach Chapter 11 of the main storyline, and complete the Smoke Sent Up objective during that chapter. From there, head towards the Community Noticeboard in Nibelheim and complete the request.

How to Complete My White-Haired Angel

1. Talk to the Head Chef
2. Head Towards the Cat's Location
3. Follow Fluffy in Search of Her Kittens
4. Defeat Queen Bee
5. Escort the Cats Back to the Village
6. Return to Tifa's Old House
7. Play the Piano Minigame

Talk to the Head Chef

After you've accepted the quest, head inside the Treatment Center (Tifa's Old House) in Nibelheim and talk to the head chef. From there, the Head Chef will tell you about her cat and a new objective marker will appear on your map.

Head Towards the Cat's Location

From there, follow the objective marker on the map so you could go straight towards the cat's location. After meeting Fluffy, Guard Bees will show up and chase Fluffy's kittens away. Destroy these enemies and chase after Fluffy.

Follow Fluffy in Search of Her Kittens

Follow Fluffy back down the path you came from and defeat the Guard Bees that are harassing her kittens. You will soon have to fight the Queen Bee.

Protect Fluffy

Fluffy will have a health bar above her. Enemies will try attacking her during the escort mission, so make sure to heal her to keep her HP up.

Defeat Queen Bee

For this fight, ignore all Guard Bees and focus on the Queen Bee, since she will keep on spawning new Guard Bees. The Queen Bee is weak to Fire so use Fire magic, summon Ifrit, and use skills like Cloud's Firebolt Blade in order to pressure the boss.

Before being staggered, Queen Bee will cast Hive Assemblage, which increases her physical and magic defense. Keep on attacking the boss regardless until she is staggered, then deal massive damage with Abilities and Limit Breaks.

How to Beat Queen Bee

Escort the Cats Back to the Village

You will need to escort the cats safely to the village. The cats will be following you around, so make sure you don't sprint with R2 and don't stray too far from them. However, you can fully tilt the left analog stick for a light jog, and the cats will still be able to keep up.

Return to Tifa's Old House

Head back to the Treatment Center once you've returned to the village. From there, you'll see the Head Chef sitting in front of the piano upstairs. After you've interacted with the Head Chef, you will be prompted to perform the piano.

Play the Piano Minigame

Increase Favorability With Tifa

Completing My White-Haired Angel will also increase your friendship with Tifa. This will affect the events that will occur when you visit the Gold Saucer later in the game.

Unlock Aerith's Theme Sheet Music

You will also be able to access Aerith's Theme Sheet Music when doing this side quest. The sheet music will become available once the cats have been returned to the village.

Way of the Fist Vol. XIII Dropped by the Queen Bee in Hard Mode

While playing in Hard Mode, defeating the Queen Bee will reward you the Way of the Fist Vol. XIII for Tifa. You can access Hard Mode after completing your first playthrough of the game in any difficulty.
