What are Shinra Boxes?

Wooden Boxes Scattered Throughout the Map

Shinra Boxes are destroyable wooden boxes that are scattered throughout different locations. They can be found within dungeons, near Activation Towers, or just randomly found on beaten paths.

Destroy Shinra Boxes to Obtain Items

Sometimes, destroying a Shinra Box will drop items that will help you on your journey. This can range from recovery items like different potions or Moogle Medals.

Press the Square button to attack a box and destroy it.

Destroying Shinra Boxes will sometimes drop useful items that you can pick up. Shinra Boxes can sometimes drop random recovery items which can restore your HP or MP or even remove status effects depending on the item dropped.

Shinra Boxes also drop Mako stones which appear as green luminous stones that can recover your MP when obtained.

Moogle Medals

Lastly, Shinra Boxes can also drop Moogle Medals which are used to buy items in the Moogle Shop that can be found across all of the explorable regions by completing Moogle Intels.
