Allows you to use magic that can automatically revive allies when they fall in battle. |
Magic Materia can be identified by their Green color. These Materia allow characters to use Magic spells that deal Elemental Damage, provide Healing, or apply Buffs and Debuffs.
A lot of the enemies and bosses in FF7 will have elemental weaknesses. Magic Materia that deal elemental damage can be used to exploit these weaknesses to great effect.
Note: Support spells from Magic Materia can be used outside of combat. These will be handy to ensure your party is fighting fit even when no benches are available in the immediate area.
There are several Magic Materia in the game and their effects vary by a large margin. There are Magic Materia that allow you to cast offensive elemental and non-elemental magic at your foes, there are also those that grant your party the spell's positive effects, and even spells that inflict debilitating status on your enemies!
