FF7 Rebirth Full Game Walkthrough
List of Contents
During the first part of the demo released on February 6, 2024, the game introduces you to the new combat and synergy system of FF7 Rebirth, all while allowing you to switch and play as either Cloud or Sephiroth.
This first part of the demo follows essentially the same events as Chapter 1 of the full game, minus some minor additions at the beginning and end. For a full walkthrough of Chapter 1 and the remainder of the game, see our complete walkthrough!
Chapter 1: Fall of a Hero Walkthrough
In the Demo version of the Nibelheim storyline, you can play Tifa's Theme on the piano in Tifa's house. However, in the full game, although you can play the piano, there is no sheet music, so you won't be able to play the actual minigame until Costa del Sol in Chapter 6.
The Junon Episode became available on February 21, 2024 at 4:00 AM PST. This can only be accessed after completing the Nibelheim episode of the demo.
Completing the Nibelheim section of the demo allows players to skip the same part of the full game and continue their journey where they left it.
How to Skip Chapter 1 (Nibelheim)
Since the events in this part of the demo were altered and will happen much later on in the game, demo progress in Junon will not be carried over.

This list does not include the items that you get from destroying the wooden crates.
The Nibelheim section of the demo will take about 2 hours to finish if you rush through the story and skip cutscenes, or 3 hours if you progress at a more relaxed pace.
There's not much in the way of optional content and all the collectibles are found along the story route, but players who want to complete everything might spend an extra hour or two trying to get a perfect score in the challenging Piano Minigame.
Compared to the first demo, the Junon demo features a shorter storyline, but it allows you to fully explore the open area in Junon using your chocobo. Following the main objectives and heading straight to the end will lead to completion in approximately 20 minutes.
However, if you decide to fully explore the area and traverse every corner with your chocobo, it will take you a couple of hours to complete the demo.
Kupo Charm | Increases the number of resource items collected at a set rate when equipped. |
---|---|
Survival Set | A collection of items to help your party such as potions and ethers. |
Players who have a save from the FF7 Rebirth Demo will be able to claim the Kupo Charm accessory as well as the Survival Set cache once the full game launches. Details on how to claim them have not been specified at the time of writing.
Note: The demo save will need to be on the same PS5 console and you will need to have applied the February 21, 2024 demo update to be eligible for the Kupo Charm and Survival Set.
