Earliest Location: Merchant Valtur in Claviger's Landing
Immediately after completing the game's tutorial quest, On Strange Shores, Merchant Valtur is the first merchant that can be found near the dock that sells weapons. He sells a Common Quarterstaff for 180 Gold on Normal difficulty.

Weapons can be upgraded in the Workbench, requiring Metal or Wood and Herbs of equal rarity to do so. Upgrading Weapons increases its stats, raising its effectiveness in combat.
