Finish the Message From Afar Main Quest

Finish Message from Afar

When you first arrive in Dawnshore, guards will prevent you from entering Paradis - the region's main settlement. In order to enter the city, you will need to complete the main quest, Message from Afar.

Once you've rescued the Aedyran Ambassador from Strangleroot, head back to the main gate of Paradis to enter the city. After the ending quest cutscene plays, you'll spawn inside the city to continue the story.

Yes, You are Free to Explore Before the Main Quest

You are free to explore Dawnshore before doing the main quest. However, only a limited number of side quests will be available in the wilds of Dawnshore. If you want more experience, it'll be much easier to unlock Paradis first before exploring the region.
