    Doesn't work in the tutorial, I am pressing R1 and R1 then I hear the spear make a ting sound and then press R1 again and it says wrong input and fades out. Seriously broken crap that should have been fixed 2 years ago.

    I wish I could edit, you have to hit it right as the blade blinks, or else you lose the combo

    The timing comes with the weapon's flash, and nothing after. You have to learn the timing from the second slash, and within milliseconds you have to hit R2 to get the spin for the combo. After the blade blinks, any button-mashing will complete the combo.
